On Friday, August 31, Ibiza Concerts, the new international festival for classical music on the island, is kicking off for the weekend. Make sure to stop by and check it out as it’s on until Sunday, September 2.
Among those who will be playing this weekend is the prestigious violinist and artistic director of the festival, Linus Roth. In a recent Instagram post, he expressed his joy and gratitude for being able to perform in Ibiza together with his friends and other stars of the international music scene.
The concerts are for the benefit of the N.G.O Mans Unides, a Spanish international non-governmental organization that works to eradicate poverty around the world. They work to finance development projects in 3rd world countries and raise awareness about these causes among the population of Spain.
The program ranges from pieces by legends of classical music like Stradivarius, Mozart, Mendelssohn and Brahms to a more contemporary tango night, featuring the star of bandoneon Marcelo Nisinman.
