Ibiza is awesome no matter which way you look at it. Each corner of the island has it’s own charm and personality, but the North is particularly beautiful. The 30-minute ride from the centre will take you to another world inside the island, and Cala Benirrás is one of the most special spots.
Famous for it’s stunning sunsets and the big band of drummers who play to welcome it every day, Cala Benirrás is a great option for feeling the true Ibiza vibe.

It is true that Sunday is the biggest night of the week for drumming—professional, amateur, residents and visitors are all welcome—but the drumming jam sessions take place the entire week, so feel free to go any day of the week, because you will love it just the same and it won’t be as crowded. The drumming ritual keeps the magic of the island alive and the beach is as pretty as it can be. It is formed as a bay and surrounded by hills covered with pines, which provides a spectacular view. Rocky on the sides and at the bottom, its crystal-clear water is perfect to practice snorkeling and with your goggles on, say hello to the marine life. The shore is sandy and the sun is always shining. Pirates would looove this beach!
There are three restaurants, sunbeds, and umbrellas on the beach, and sometimes there is a hippy market at the entrance. You can get there by bus, boat or car. There are two big car parks, but they are always very busy so we recommend that you bring all you might need and get there early in the morning so you can spend the whole day at the beach. Remember the sunscreen, something fresh to drink and get ready to fall in love with Cala Benirras, a magical place you’ll never forget, and one of the coolest ways to experience the authentic Ibizan lifestyle.
