Ibiza has more than 50 beaches… and Cala Comte has nothing to envy them at all. With soft white sand, warm turquoise waters and sunsets worthy of an Oscar award, Cala Comte invites to enjoy it until the very last drop.
Surrounded by several coves and cliffs, the shallow waters and the landscape of this rocky coastline are a real spectacle, as you can see the small islands of S’Espartar Illa des Bosc and Sa Conillera right front to the beach. There are no markets around, but there is a charming little bar Chiringuito walking down at the end on the left side of the cliff to enjoy fresh food & cocktails, and other beautiful restaurants on the right side of the beach, considering Sunset Ashram (you will see it as soon as you arrive) in the middle. It has some beds on the sand and a cool atmosphere with chill music, the perfect background to the incredible views and a delicious meal.
Located in the municipality of Sant Josep de Sa Talaia, and close to Sant Antoni de Portmany, Cala Comte can be reached by car, by bus (there is a frequent bus service during the summer from both Sant Antoni and Ibiza town) and even ferry boats departing from Sant Antoni harbour. If you go there by car—which is the fastest option—here are two important tips to have in mind: the parking gets extremely busy, so it is better to set a meeting point and share cars, and the road that connects the beach with the highway, the same, so we recommend you to go early to avoid the crowds or wait and leave after the worst hours in the afternoon, around 6 pm. In other words: stay until the sunset, you won’t regret it.

Families, couples, friends, people who want to spend a day in paradise, you are all welcome! Cigarettes, plastic bottles, cans and etc’s, you are allowed to come but you will have to leave later with your nasty humans, no excuses. As always, remember the sunscreen if you don’t want to be mistaken for the biggest shrimp on the beach. People can get really hungry and confused after a long day under the sun…
Enjoy!
