If there’s one thing that’s true about Ibiza’s reputation, it’s that it embodies the bohemian and hippy lifestyle. In general you’ll find that locals are very laid back, relaxed and chill. Naturally, nude beaches go hand in hand with this lifestyle, so if you enjoy being able to go bare on the beach or want to try it out for the first time, have a pick from these three popular beaches on the island.

We’re starting off the list with a topless beach, the most tame option for the beginners out there. Cala Salada is mainly dominated by tourists and slightly older people, so if you’re looking for an all around more youthful crowd, then just walk about 5 minutes until you find the neighbouring bay. There’s usually loud music and people dancing between 3pm and 6pm, so plan your trip according to whether or not you want to be around the party vibe.

Next up on our list, we have Es Cavallet which is one of the official nude beaches on the island. It’s located in one of the best areas of Ibiza, because you can see Dalt Villa on one side and Formentera on the other. Many have described it as a magical place that you won’t encounter anywhere else in the world. If you want to go straight to the designated nude area, just walk to the center of the beach, you’ll find it’s a lovely walk on the white sand. You can be sure that this place is tourist central, and people are always in the partying mood. If you’re wondering where to eat – the famous El Chiringuito is right next to the beach.
Aguas Blancas

Lastly, we have Aguas Blancas the less touristy beach of the three. The crowd here is mainly locals and nudists, if you’re an early bird then check out the sunrise because it’s supposed to be one of the best places to watch it on the island. Surrounded by cliffs, it offers a cooler environment as well as added privacy! Another benefit is that the mud can actually be used as a scrub for your body, so take advantage of it while you’re there! Of course, like the name suggests, the water here is so transparent that it makes for a great snorkelling place – make sure you bring your goggles!
