Tomorrow, Saturday 15th of September, millions of volunteers in 150 countries will join forces to clean up the world in a single day.
Families, friends, institutions, or just you, no matter how you do it, the goal is that we all participate in this movement that will change the way we behave as a community to take care of our beloved island.
It is estimated that by 2050 the ocean will contain more plastic by weight than fish. This only idea should wake up us and make ourselves ask: how do we stop it?
It is as important to stop using unnecessary plastic, as to recycle and mend the damage that we have already done. Having said all this… Be part of the biggest civic action in human history!
You can contact the team that is organizing the event in Ibiza at worldcleanupdayibiza@gmail.com or WhatsApp +34 615078989, indicating the number of people in your team and the area you prefer to clean. It can be next to your office, a local beach, a forest or urban area, a country road, the street where you live; everything counts. Or you can also join a greater team in your municipality.
Departing at 10 am, the meeting points are the following:
In Ibiza
- Parque de La Paz
- Figueretas beach
In Sant Antoni
- Ayuntamiento
- Playa del Arenal
In Sant Josep

- Cala Conte beach
In Sant Joan

Spread the love for our island to the world and share your photos and videos with the hashtags #WorldCleanUpDay #LetsDoItIbiza
Besides, there’s a special “World Clean Up app” available for download on Google Play and the App Store. When you see trash in Ibiza, you can add it to the map. The goal is to “map” as many trash points as possible on the island so that they can be removed.
At the end of the day, there will be a celebration event with art installations and many surprises. For more info, you can follow the event The World Cleanup Day Ibiza 15 September 2018.
