Aguas blancas: much more than a quiet beach
Named “white waters” in Spanish in honour of the foam that appears on the surface every time the waves hit the cliff, this cove is perfect for those who are looking for a quiet, relaxing time at the beach.

Located on the north side of the island, 30 km from Ibiza centre and 15 minutes from Santa Eularia, Aguas Blancas is all about the ‘spa sensation’ you feel when you are there. Its natural clay rocks, which give an exfoliating and purifying effect when applied on the skin, is the perfect example of what this beach has to offer.

Clay has been used since ancient times for its healing properties. All the toxins, free radicals, heavy metals and chemicals are pulled away from your skin and stick to the clay through electrical charges until they are washed away along with the clay. So, grab some clay, put it on as a mask covering your face and body, stay like that for 15-20 minutes until it dries (Instagrammers, you’re welcome!) and then dive into the sea to wash it all off! The result is amazing: soft and healthy skin, ready to shine again.

The beach is considered a nudist beach; here you can enjoy nature as you came to the world without any worries. For those who don’t feel comfortable with flaunting their birthday suit, there’s plenty of space, so everyone has a spot to be happy. The beach is long and narrow (actually, it is formed by several small coves linked together) and the atmosphere is family friendly. There is a traditional beach restaurant with a terrace to enjoy the views (you can see the island of Tagomago and Punta Grossa), and a charming Chiringuito at the south part of the beach, offering fresh drinks and snacks.

If you want to get a nice tan, we recommend that you arrive early in the morning, as the sun goes down fast behind the cliffs in the afternoon. You can get to Aguas Blancas by car or bike, as local people do. Around the beach, there are others nice places to visit like Cala San Vicente or Cala Lenya, so if you’re heading north, get ready for the adventure and make the most of your day!
