Here, some interesting facts* that you might not know and will make you see why this Mediterranean treasure is one of the most desirable places to vacation, and what happens every season when the tourists arrive. We tell you, it gets warmer and warmer!
Make the sum to understand why Ibiza is one of the top holiday destinations in Europe:
It has a striking average of 300 sunny days per year (for those who lived here last winter: I’m sticking to the numbers, and I get your feelings, there were plenty of rainy rains too), with a friendly temperature of 20ºC, which goes up and up each month until August, reaching 30ºC. Its coastline is around 210 km, full of more than 50 beaches. Rocky ‘calas’, long white-sand beaches, natural pools made of curved stones, hidden coves… and counting.
They like to have fun: there are more than 10 famous nightclubs, and the party never stops. More than 20 glamorous beachclubs are ready to go on. Why? It welcomes more than 3 million tourists per year looking for it. Main visitors’ nationalities are British, Spanish, French, Italian, German, and Dutch. And yes, they all like to party!
About 7,5 million passengers boarded planes at the airport last year. More than 75 thousands flights were operated by 50 different airlines, through 180 routes and connecting 74 cities. The distance from the airport to Ibiza centre is only 7 km, and it takes 15 minutes by car to get there. By sea, more than 2,7 million passengers arrived to the island. The cruises on port last year were 137, and the regular boats, 18500. The ports connected with the island are Formentera, Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona, Denia, Valencia and Gandia.
Famous for its breath-taking beauty, its wonderful culture and its free spirit, the Spanish island is an ideal meeting point for citizens from all over the world, attracting more visitors every year.
