Ibiza’s Gay Pride is coming up next week, taking place from the 13th to the 16th of June. This year, it’s made a point to be more welcoming and open to all, with the hopes of gaining more international visibility among the other gay prides taking place this month. During the upcoming pride, you’ll find various socio-cultural activities that aim to lift up the LGTBQ+ groups.
The opening ceremony will begin at the Portal de ses Taules in Dalt Vila, next Wednesday the 13th of June at 9:30pm. Vicent Torres the president of the Ibiza LGTBQ Association in addition to five other members will make a speech to commemorate the start of the celebrations, after which there will be great music and dance spectacle.
On Saturday the 16th of June at 7:00pm the main event of Ibiza’s Gay Pride takes place, the famous march, with this year’s slogan being “For the rights of LGTBQ+, lets change the world”. Starting at the Fishermen’s Association, the march goes to the avenues of Santa Eularia and Los Andenes, with everyone celebrating together, bearing the pride multi-coloured flags until reaching Plaza del Partillo.
Whether you’re LGTBQ+ or simply there to support their rights, show up and be a part of the celebrations of inclusivity and equality for all!
